The Data Science Course is a full or part-time data programme aimed at upskilling/reskilling diverse groups and communities to an entry-level standard who are looking for a long-term career in Tech related Data Science.

The course has taken into consideration all the critical skills necessary for a career in Data Science. We focus on getting our learners job-ready with hard and soft skills, including communication, collaborative working, creativity, problem-solving and the ability to work to deadlines in an agile environment.

During the Data Science Course learners will earn: BCS Foundation Certificate in Machine Learning and the Python Institute’s Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer Certification (PCEP). On completion of the BCS certificate students will receive a free 1-year Associate Membership to BCS.

The Data Science Course focuses on fundamental areas. The aim is to equip all learners with a blend of technical and personal skills to launch their career.

The technical part of the course is significantly hands-on including practical tasks and projects to consolidate learning in a real-life environment, we combine trainer led sessions and self study.

Each module has either a practical project or tasks to demonstrate skills. Either of these approaches provides the learner with the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of the topic.

• Python Fundamentals
• Data Science with Python: Introduction to NumPy and Pandas
• Data Science with Python: Introduction to Algorithms, Machine and Deep Learning
• Introduction to Modelling and Data Visualisation
• Big Data & Databases (SQL)
• Data Science with R Studio

Our Fully Funded Academies do have eligibility criteria which must be met in order for a learner to qualify for a course.
